Hey everyone! Lots of things have been going on recently.

I moved into a one bedroom apartment! Yay! More room to clutter up!

My cat Smudge died on Oct. 15th and then exactly a week later my ferrett Tiki died on Oct. 23rd. That was definately a tough two weeks. I'm working on an image of Smudge to post as a tribute. I just can't get the lighting and the clouds right! It'll be posted soon though. I miss them both!

I have a new addition to my small little family! Well, given I haven't been on here for a while, I would say I have two new additions.

Let me give you some background here. I had Booger and Smudge (look at the "Kitty Hug" image. The grey and white cat is Booger, the other is Smudge) in the beginning. Here's the kicker, Booger doesn't come out of his hiding place during the day. He only comes out sleep on the bed at night with me, then when I get up, he goes back under the bed. He eats and uses the litter box, of course, and its his choice to be under the bed. Anyway, the point to that is that he doesn't play very much. So, back in May, I brought one of mom's kittens home so Smudge would have a playmate. (I could tell she was bored because I would only play with her for a little bit, then go about my business. Smudge was full of energy then).
The kitten's name was Roo and for a while, the two played together like you wouldn't believe!
Smudge started to lose weight in the passing months and after she died, Roo then played with Tiki (my white ferret). Okay, I thought, everybody is still good with playmates, etc. Granted, I didn't want another cat because the loss of Smudge was a devestating blow even though I had been preparing myself for it for the last few months. I took her to the vet, but before we could get her where she could go in for surgery, she died.
Anyway, Tiki was playing with Roo for a few days then turned sluggish. On the morning of the 23rd, I woke up and found her dead in her cage. So now, Roo is left without a playmate because Booger doesn't come out to play during the day and Roo would sit on her cat tree with the most pitiful look on her face as I walked out the door to go to work.
Finally, after a few days, I broke down and brought another of mom's kittens home.
His name is Garfield and he's only about 7 weeks old. He's as cute as a button with a very defined bullseye on both of his sides. Guess what! Here's the best part......HE RUNS THE SPOTS OFF OF ROO!!! Leaving me to do as I please and I don't have to feel guilty about going to work and leaving Roo without someone to keep her occupied while I'm gone!

The two run through the apartment, tackling each other, hissing and smacking (but playfully!) and both collapse on and under the covers when its bedtime! It definately takes the weight off of my shoulders.

I've got two new works that I uploaded today. :thumb142222942:"Skull" and :thumb142231901:"Trionatia". I finally got the brushes figured out when I paint, now I just need to get the glow and skin tones right! Not to mention how to paint buildings like castles and stuff.
